Creating/Publishing OI Layers

Creating/Publishing OI Layers

There are two ways to create and publish OI Layers with XPGEO Studio

OI Layer of all images that are initially loaded

At the bottom of the report, there are two options to move forward. To create a OI Layer of all the images that were just added, click Create Oriented Imagery Layer

Next, the user will be prompted to give the OI Layer a title, add a description, and the option to add additional tags. The user can also set a search distance (value should be determined according to the distance between the images: the larger the distance, the larger the value). By default, the image sequencing option is checked and can be unchecked if not needed for the layer.

Once everything is filled out, click Publish

After the OI Layer has been published, the user will have two options

  • Show item details - this will allow the user to review the new layer under the user's “content” on AGOL or Enterprise

  • View OI Layer in map - this will allow the user to view the imagery from the newly created layer with XPGEO Studio’s viewer (more information about this will be under the View Layer section of this document)

Using one of the selection tools on the content pane, select the images that will be used to create the layer and then click Publish

Note - An OI Layer can be created using images from multiple folders or multiple image lists. However, an OI Layer cannot be created using a folder and an image list

Note: - If the images were loaded via the folder option, the images will be referenced to the OI Layer as attachments. If the images were loaded via the image last option, the images will be referenced to the OI Layer by a URL.
